Charles Gagnon

Charles Gagnon

Born on May 23, 1934, in Montreal, Quebec, and passed on April 16, 2003, Charles Gagnon was a painter and photographer who had several solo and group exhibitions such as the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal in 2001, the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography and the National Gallery of Canada in 2000, and the National Gallery of Canada in 2004. Gagnon went to Parsons School of Design in New York to study interior design and graphic art, then moved on to study at the New York School of Interior Design. He has also won the Prix du Québec: Prix Paul-Émile-Borduas in 1995 and the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts in 2002, and taught at Concordia University in Montreal and the University of Ottawa for the Department of Visual Arts.  To read more about Gagnon's CV please click here.
